Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Systems Programmer with expertise in CICS to join our team. This remote position will require providing exceptional software support and services to our mainframe clients specializing in CICS technology.
Position Summary
This role reports to the Manager of Mainframe Programming and will be pivotal in addressing customer service requests and resolving issues related to CICS TS and associated OEM software products.
Key Responsibilities
Efficiently respond to customer service requests for mainframe CICS clients regarding CICS TS and OEM software products.
Deliver primary support for incidents related to CICS TS and associated OEM products.
Provide 24 / 7 support across various time zones to ensure seamless service availability.
Execute software installations while adhering to best practices and organizational standards to enhance productivity and scalability.
Support customer migration efforts, facilitating new client transitions related to CICS TS and OEM products.
Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services to effectively implement disaster recovery plans for customers.
Maintain a structured schedule for resource management and timely implementations.
Comply with ITSM change control processes, which include :
Implementing vendor-specific product corrections.
Upgrading, maintaining, and enhancing z / OS products within customer partitions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Over 5 years of experience with the zSeries platform, particularly in CICS TS and OEM product support including installation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of CICS TS capabilities, installation, and configuration.
Extensive knowledge and experience with IBM's SMP / E.
Analytical skills with a robust understanding of CICS TS concepts.
Familiarity with monitoring tools for the performance of CICS TS regions.
Ability to provide performance improvement recommendations to clients.
Experience in using monitoring tools to minimize support tickets and prevent outages.
Other Qualifications
Self-driven and capable of working independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
Experience with Mainframe MQ support on zOS is a plus.
Experience with Mainframe WAS (WebSphere Application Server) for zOS is a plus.

Compensation
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $65,000 to $123,000 based on a full-time schedule, with factors like skills, experience, and business needs affecting placement within the range. Additional compensation opportunities may include annual bonuses and equity grants.
