Job descriptionPerform therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring its proper function, and address any equipment issues promptly. Position patients accurately and prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with established protocols. Adhere to radiation safety procedures to protect both patients and staff. Submit images and related documents to PACS, ensuring accuracy and quality in data entry and imaging. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Engage in continuous alertness to ensure a safe working atmosphere. Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to overall department efficiency. Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program Certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT-N within six months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Ability to stand and walk frequently, lifting / carrying weights up to 50 lbs occasionally. Proficient visual and auditory skills for communication and patient assessment. Frequent patient handling and usage of medical equipment.
