Unit : Intermediate Care Unit (Cardiac Stepdown)

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 9, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36

Shift Duration : 12-hour nights

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,780 - $1,910 per week, based on experience.

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Unit Size : 12 beds

Patient Ratio : 4 : 1

Electronic Health Record : MEDITECH, MEDHOST

Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac nursing or stepdown / intermediate care

Experience with cardiac care and post-cath stent removal preferred

Ability to float to telemetry and critical care units

Strong teamwork and positive attitude

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown unit

Monitor, assess, and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including post-catheterization care

Administer prescribed medications and treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care in the EHR system

Float to telemetry and critical care units as needed

Maintain compassionate, professional relationships with patients and colleagues
