Associate Director, Quality And Mission Assurance (QMA)
Raytheon is currently seeking a seasoned professional for our Associate Director, Quality And Mission Assurance (QMA) within the Short & Medium-Range Ground Based Air Defense Systems Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). The role is required to reside in Tucson, AZ.
This is a highly visible role which requires excellent collaboration and partnering skills, strong business acumen, expertise in engineering and manufacturing, risk and opportunity management, and quality systems compliance. The selected professional will partner with proposal and program managers and act as the voice of the customer to assure mission success. This position will report to Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) Lead for the Short & Medium-Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD)SSBU within the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LADS) SBU.
You will engage on both tactical and strategic levels, collaborating with the Program Management Office (PMO) and peers across the organization, ensuring execution effectiveness and driving efficiency improvements across the program. On programs, you will ensure delivered products and services meet Customer and Raytheon requirements, groom program risks and opportunities, provide technical oversight in resolution of high-visibility program Q&MA issues, assess system and mission readiness, as well as foster strong Customer relationships and expectation alignment.
This is an "on-site" position in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do :
- Shepard our Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) Operating system, applying its tools and concepts to continuously improve business outcomes, program execution, guidelines and processes implementation
- Support the shaping of the technical and management baseline, early in pursuit, to enable delivery of solutions optimized to balance technical performance, schedule, quality, and affordability. Ensuring inclusion of quality scope, plans, and budgets in program estimates and proposals.
- Responsible for effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS). Conduct and guide effective investigations and analysis that result in the resolution of complex problems impeding product line success. Including tactical arrest and containment, as well as executing any required read-across to the relevant functional or business processes.
- Collaborate with SSBU Design Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain in developing a robust product maturation and transition strategy. Enable the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA), Technology Readiness Assessment (TRA) to inform transition to production strategy decisions
- Accountable for quality performance to financial Estimate and Completion (EAC).
- Establish QMA resource requirements, secure budgets, manage program Q&MA tasks to meet budgets, while continually driving innovative solutions and quality effectiveness
- Develop and grow a team of Quality Program Professionals
- Collect, evaluate, and report critical Q&MA metrics necessary to monitor the health of the Raytheon Quality Management System (QMS) and cultivate the performance of the various Quality & Mission Assurance disciplines
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years of demonstrated experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related fieldWorking experience in design and development within systems, hardware (electrical or mechanical), or manufacturing engineeringExperience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and actions to improve performance or mitigate problemsExperience in Earned Value Management and Cost Account ManagementExperience with estimating and new business proposals, including Basis of Estimate (BOE) CertificationExperience executing in highly technical failure investigations, developing robust corrective action plans and / or membership in failure review boardExperience interfacing and communicating with internal and external customers, and suppliers.Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer :
