Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time, in-person role seeks a Social Worker to support students within a school environment. Based in Grand Blanc, MI, this contract position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the academic and emotional well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to develop comprehensive support plans
- Conduct assessments and facilitate interventions to support student success and well-being
- Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to discuss student progress
Qualifications :
Valid Social Work license or certification appropriate for school settingsExperience working with children and adolescents in educational or social service contextsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staffAbility to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalismFamiliarity with community resources and referral processesLocation : Grand Blanc, MI
