Since 1996, Precision Drive Systems has been the global leader in innovative electro-mechanical spindle solutions, pioneering design, engineering, and predictive maintenance solutions. Based near Charlotte, NC, we provide unparalleled technical support and deliver rapid spindle repairs and rebuilds for diverse manufacturing applications in metal, wood, plastics, stone, marble, glass, and robotics industries.

Reporting to the President, the essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Oversight of the accounting function, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, general ledger, and internal audit.
• Accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cost accounting reports, reflecting the condition and reconciliation of the business.
• Preparing internal and external monthly and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Monitoring budgets, actual spending, and variance reporting to key executives.
• Providing financial planning and analysis, including internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and making improvements.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls to prevent company assets from being misused and prevent fraud.
• Ensuring the safeguarding of confidential, financial, and personal information.
• Fostering a positive work environment through personal example that promotes corporate leadership and team building.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5-7 years of direct accounting experience.  Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.  Prior success in cost accounting or financial planning and analysis experience in industrial manufacturing, product development, or technical services. Ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights. Flexibility to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team.

To perform successfully, you will need exceptional knowledge of ERP system utilization, ordering processing systems, and BI or analytics.  PDS is currently migrating to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and this individual will be a primary user and promoter.
