The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care Network is dedicated to advocating for a whole health system of care in each of our Medical Centers. Staff Psychiatrist Key Responsibilities :

• Typical shift M-F, 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm; rotating call every 8 weeks
• Outpatient (except for weekend call – inpatient rounding, average 13-15 patients)
• This is not a remote position. On-station telehealth eligible (virtual visits - video, remote care by telephone)
• Clinical position with protected administrative time
• Manages care delivery at SLVHCS for veterans in outpatient setting
• Approximately 5-6 new patients per week
• Access to Clinical Psychologists; Social Workers; PA’s
• Academic appointment at LSU and Tulane
• Also seeking Psychiatrists interested in Women’s Health and / or Homeless outreach
• May qualify for the Education Debt Reduction Program (up to $200K over a 5-year period)

Compensation Information :

$240000.00 / Annually - $265000.00 / Annually
