Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,116 per week in Chicago, IL

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License : Current nursing license required Certifications : BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have : Must live within 75 miles of the facility Description : Position in the ICU department. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM. No block scheduling is offered. Weekends are required every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of five days, with no more than two consecutive days. No requests for time off are allowed on holidays or on weekends. Floating within scope is mandatory. RN staff may be required to float to various ICU units as well as medical surgical units if needed. The first week will involve orientation and precepting on day shift. Daily responsibilities include managing multiple critical care patient needs. Candidates must have the ability to float between units as needed. Skills include the management of arterial lines, ventilated patients, and various critical care interventions. Individual consults may be executed with a focus on patient-centered collaborative care. Compliance with facility policies and procedures in all patient care activities is expected.
