About The Position

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

License : Valid RN license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC

Must-Have :

• Strong critical thinking skills
• Recent ICU experience
• Positive attitude and can-do spirit
• Focus on patient-centered compassionate care
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic

Description :

This position involves working in a high-acuity ICU environment.

The current ratio is 1 nurse to 2 patients.

Candidates can expect to float between adult critical care and tele units.

Weekend shifts are required every other week.

Candidates should have experience managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias.

The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The unit handles multi-system medical / surgical ICU and neuro / trauma cases.

Staff will also include interdisciplinary support teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Special procedures may include CRRT and post-tPA management.

This is a teaching hospital with robust interdisciplinary collaboration.

Candidates should be adaptable and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional skills in neuro care are preferred.
