About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Diagnostic Imaging

Specialty : General abdomen / obstetrics / small parts

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum of 3 years

License : Licensed in the State of Oregon as Ultrasonographer or Radiologic Technologist / Sonographer

Certifications : Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent approved certification

Must-Have : Graduate of a CAHEA accredited sonography program or equivalent

Description :

Provide healthcare services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the areas of OB / GYN, abdomen, and / or neurosonology, and / or ophthalmology.

Demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and / or intervention, as requested by a licensed practitioner.

Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor that complements medical ethics.

Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.

Holiday coverage may be required.
