The Maintenance Technician performs general and preventive maintenance on all buildings, equipment, vehicles, etc. and assists with on-site construction projects.

The Daughters of Charity Ministries Evansville Campus is home to Seton Residence, the home to 65 retired Catholic Sisters. We are located on the West Side of Evansville just down the road from University of Southern Indiana and provide three levels of nursing care -independent, assisted, and skilled. We proudly provide resident-centered care. Seton Residence is a private facility, offering a beautiful, clean, homelike setting in a country environment.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

One to three years of experience in general / building maintenance is required. This experience must have included various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and HVAC equipment preferred.

Valid Indiana Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

1. Must be able to endure at least eight hours continuous work requiring physical demands including but not limited to walking, climbing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.

Ability to follow precise oral and written instructions.

Ability to interpret equipment malfunctions and make proper repairs or adjustments if possible.

Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment.

Be alert to hazards.

Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and diagrams.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and make technical decisions independently.
