Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant within NIKE's External Reporting Group, you'll report directly to the Manager of External Reporting. Your work will be highly cross-functional, partnering with Investor Relations during the earnings release process, collaborating with Legal and Finance counterparts and engaging with other Controlling teammates to resolve accounting matters and understand their impact on external filings. You'll also support and interact with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
As a Senior Accountant within NIKE's External Reporting Group, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of leadership across the NIKE finance organization. You will support and participate in all aspects of NIKE's external financial reporting process.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related degree. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
3+ years relevant work experience. Public Accounting firm experience with large multinational, publicly-held companies preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated SEC reporting experience and strong proficiency in US GAAP, with deep understanding of business processes and regulatory requirements
Proven analytical ability to identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Skilled at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, commitment to high standards of quality and meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables
Collaborative partner with strong communication and presentation skills, able to work effectively across diverse teams and functions
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word
You will be responsible for preparing NIKE's quarterly and annual SEC filings, validating and preparing quarterly earnings release information in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. You'll provide support to the broader finance organization on external reporting matters, ensuring compliance with internal controls over corporate financial reporting. Your role will also involve participating in external reporting and finance-related projects, supporting the organization's commitment to transparency and excellence in financial communication.
