Position Overview :
As a key member of the geotechnical design and value-engineering team, you will support subsurface investigations, foundation and excavation design, construction monitoring, and contractor support services across public and private infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, geologists, contractors and clients to ensure technically sound, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that align with project goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct subsurface explorations (soil borings, test pits), evaluate soil and rock mechanics, groundwater conditions, seismic risk and site suitability.
- Assist in foundation engineering, support-of-excavation and retaining-structure design for commercial, industrial, retail, residential and public-sector developments.
- Provide construction-phase services including QA / QC of earthwork, foundations, retaining systems, dewatering, and shoring; document field conditions and respond to contractor / agency feedback.
- Prepare engineering reports, design recommendations, cost estimates, and value-engineering proposals; coordinate with A / E teams, developers, and agencies to deliver schedule-sensitive geotechnical work.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.EIT (Engineer?in?Training) or ability / desire to pursue PE licensure.Field and office experience in subsurface investigation, foundation / excavation design, and construction monitoring.Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office) and strong written / verbal communication skills.
