American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Float Pool position with strong Cerner experience and cardiac monitoring skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Medical Surgical Float Pool within a hospital settingPrimary unit : 1 North - MS / OncologyNurse to patient ratio is 1 : 5-6Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00)Required to work every other weekendFloating within hospital units as neededSelf-scheduling is availableCaribbean Blue scrubs requiredUses Cerner EMR (experience strongly preferred)Position is located 40 miles outside of Charlotte in the metro areaResponsibilities include high flow nasal cannula administration, non-invasive airway management, and surgical drain managementCare for patients requiring feeding tube and PCA medication managementMust be comfortable with plastics and respiratory / thoracic proceduresCOVID-19 vaccination required or must provide valid exemption request within 72 hours upon acceptancePre-employment modules (up to 8 hours) must be completed before start dateTwo professional supervisory references required for considerationFirst time travelers are welcome to applyLocals are accepted at the same rateReturn staff must have not worked at the facility in the past 6 months and must be in good standingNot accepting travel pairs that are related\n \n Requirements\n
Active NC or compact RN license requiredMinimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg experienceCurrent BLS certification requiredOCN certification preferredExperience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response teams requiredIV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and PICC line managementExperience in pre / post hemodialysis and renal failure care requiredProficiency in wound care, isolation precautions, and use of wound vacs expectedExperience using Cerner EMR strongly preferred\n Benefits\n
