JOB OVERVIEW

The Driver of Employee Transport and Supplies will drive vans to transport employees to their workstations along with inventory and supplies to the correct delivery location all located on the Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall Facility in Fort Myer, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives employees of Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall Facility to and from their required work location
• Picks up and drops off inventory and supplies to areas within the facility
• Ensures Passengers reach their destinations safely and on time
• Safely transports inventory and supplies with no damage to products
• Observes safety regulations and state laws regarding vehicle operation
• Timely and effective communication over radio and phone
• Submits accident reports, when needed
• Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives / goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work is performed by driving, loading, and unloading inventory and supplies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

LIFTING & CARRYING

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds. Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.

MOBILITY

The employees will need to move around to unload and load inventory and supplies, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.

SML is an Alaska Native-Owned Village Corporation serving its more than 2,000 Native shareholders and four villages located along the Yukon River. Alaska Native Corporations are the result of the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, which was signed into law in 1971. The act was intended to resolve long-standing issues surrounding aboriginal land claims, to stimulate economic development throughout Alaska, as well as to settle land and financial claims.
