Job description

Location : Sheridan Community Hospital

  • Rural town with a large farming community, along with a plastic plant, and lumber!
  • 47 Miles to Grand Rapids International Airport
  • Community size : 900
  • Lakes, hunting, nature trails, disc golf, Heritage Village, farm zoo, Anderson’s Farms and Produce, Greenville closest shopping area.

Start Date : August 2025

Credentialing :   30-90 days

Schedule : 7-10, 24-hour shifts / month

Call :   24 / 7 call coverage

Details : Critical Access Hospital

  • ICU Beds : 0- Hopeful to have 2 in the future
  • Acute Beds : 24
  • Swing Beds : Max 10
  • Average Daily Census : 6
  • Max Census : 20
  • Min Census : 6-8
  • Average Daily Discharges : 1-2
  • Avg LOS : 2.5 days, 9 days swing bed
  • Swing Bed rounding : Informal without notes daily, visits with notes / billing every 2-3 days or with any change in medical status.

    • Acuity :   Respiratory, generalized weakness, post-surgical recovery, etc.

    Subspecialty Support :   Emergency, Family Practice. Other services on site certain days of the week.  Anesthesia- M-F mostly

    EMR : TrueBridge (Formerly known as CPSI / Thrive)

    Experience + Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years of experience practicing autonomously
  • Ability to perform some procedures
  • Active MI License or the ability to obtain

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Malpractice Insurance Covered by RPG
  • Providers have a private space with bathroom and shower.

    • Linens and housekeeping provided

  • Providers are provided 3 full meals a day from the dietary department.
