Salary :
We are seeking a PHLEBOTOMISTto become a part of our team! You will retrieve and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of a Phlebotomist will include, but is not limited to the following :
- Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger-sticks.
- Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc.
- Verify patient and their personal information to ensure accurate processing of specimens
- Label samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing
- Keep accurate records on specimens and tests
- Knowledgeable of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Communicate in a culturally competent and effective manner to clients / caregivers regarding the services available
Qualifications
Phlebotomy CertificationPhlebotomy experience - 2 years minimum of proven work historyGood keyboard skills - 35 wpmAbility to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stressDetailed oriented and organizedGreat interpersonal skillsGood oral and written communication skillsBilingual (Spanish / English) a plusMedical Assistant experience, preferredWorking Conditions
The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be requiredEmployment Benefits
