You will observe patients before, during, and after therapy, report notes to the physical therapist, and counsel patients and families on post-treatment care.To qualify, you must complete an accredited physical therapist assistant program and pass a state-administered national exam to obtain licensure or certification. Recommended skills include experience working in a physical therapy setting, knowledge of current best practices, and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
