Overview

Business Development Rep - New Construction

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within residential subdivisions, multifamily projects, commercial construction, and large-scale build outs.
  • Generate leads through cold-calling, site visits, builder / developer meetings, and networking.
  • Review blueprints, perform take-offs, and analyze construction documents to prepare accurate bids and proposals.
  • Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with estimating and project management teams.
  • Coordinate with field crews, communicate project requirements, and provide support throughout execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess feasibility, monitor progress, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and best practices for insulation and installation services.
  • Travel locally within a ~2-hour radius, with minimal overnight travel.
  • Maintain records using CRM tools to track leads, proposals, contracts, and follow-ups; report regularly on pipeline and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Proven B2B sales and business development experience, ideally in construction, insulation, or related building materials / services.
  • Demonstrated success in cold-calling, lead generation, and closing new business.
  • Ability to read blueprints, perform take-offs, and interpret project specifications.
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction processes, and insulation installation standards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently in the field.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and comfort with frequent local travel.
