Sandblast Operator

We are seeking a skilled Sandblast Operator to join our team in Westbrook, ME. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing parts and sandblasting, hand sanding, cleaning with solvent, and finishing parts to meet specifications. You must be able to read and understand blueprints, work comfortably in a team environment, wear a respirator, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for sandblasting and other finishing processes.
• Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Hand sand and clean parts using solvent as required.
• Finish parts according to specifications provided in blueprints.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a large open machine shop with moderate noise levels. The position follows a 1st shift schedule, working four 10-hour days from 6am to 4pm during the summer. Steel-toed shoes are required for safety.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Westbrook, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
