Job description

Position : Warehouse Associate

Location : In Office

Employment : Full-time Regular

Compensation : Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports To : Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY : Warehouse associates are responsible for a wide range of tasks to help ensure efficient overall operations of a company or business. Including, maintaining daily inventory logs, organizing and inspecting inventory and filling customer orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Maintain organized inventory and proper labeling of all materials.
  • Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, safe, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Report damaged or missing items to supervisors immediately.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Traveling for deliveries and pickups will be required

NECESSESARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, project teams, and customers
  • Able to perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Proficiency with equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of and adherence to safety regulations is essential to prevent accidents.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand, walk, sit, handling / fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, squat or kneel or bend
  • Lift, carry, push and / or pull 50lbs
  • Must wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

    • Steel-toed boots

  • Hard hats with chin strap; chin strap must be worn at all times while in the warehouse
  • Protective eyewear
  • Hand protection
  • Arm guards / sleeves
  • Hearing protection if required by the hearing conservation program
