Diesel Mechanic

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities :

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and related systems.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.

Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.

Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.

Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.

Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and maintenance procedures.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and software effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Pay Information :

• Competitive salary of $800 - $1500 a week, commensurate with experience.
