Plumbing Inspector

The Economic Development & Planning Department is seeking a professional Plumbing Inspector who is knowledgeable of the Michigan Plumbing Codes and the related code standards and references, including standard tools, materials, and practices of the plumbing trade. This is a great opportunity for those interested in locating and correcting defects in plumbing systems, devices, machines, and equipment, interpreting technical sketches, and enforcing regulations.

Special Requirements & Training :

• Must meet the minimum eligibility requirements in accordance with State Act #54 for registration as a Plumbing Inspector and Plan Reviewer and make application both these titles within thirty (30) days of notification of selection for this position. Registration as Plumbing Inspector and Plan Reviewer must be retained during the entire length of employment in this position. Failure to obtain or retain both of these registrations will result in appropriate action consistent with the Teamsters Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.
