The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group (DMG) has an immediate practice opportunity for a full-time optometrist. The Department staffs Valleywise Health; a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area with State-of-the-art equipment and Technology.

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities relating to conducting eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation, diagnose and treat ocular disease, provide counseling and education, managing eye conditions, providing pre- and post-operative care, identifying systemic conditions and promoting eye health.

Required qualifications : Graduate of accredited school of optometry, with valid license to practice optometry in the state of Arizona. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, decision-making skills and detail orientated.
