Typical day
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and emission repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing computer and wiring issues with equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing Tier 4 emissions issues
- Performing inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment
- Tearing down and rebuilding equipment for mobilization
- Repairing buckets and attachments
- Changing out attachments for projects as needed on equipment
- Preparing in-depth work orders on all repairs, while documenting the repair with detail
- Working with projects to prioritize repairs
- Ensuring all safety devices are properly maintained and operating
- Following and abiding by company safety policy
- Welding and fabrication

We are proud to operate an 80% Cat equipment fleet, complemented by a few Komatsu and John Deere pieces.
Equipment ranges from a Cat 305 mini to a Cat 6015B excavatorBulldozers ranging from D3 to D11Off-road trucks from 730s to 777 rigid frame haul trucksCat loaders, a 299 Skid loader, and loaders including 930, 950, 966, 972, 980, and 988Average service trucks are less than 5 years old and meticulously maintainedWeekly competitive pay and benefitsCompetitive per diem plans while travelingWhat will you drive?
We use 33k IMT service body trucks, equipped with screw compressors, 400 amp welders, and a 12k crane.
Do you have what it takes?
At least 2 years of recent experience and / or training in vehicle / construction equipment repair and maintenance, or equivalent education / experienceDiagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairsOperation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposesSafety practices and proceduresElectrical systems, including computerized induction / ignition systemsStrong troubleshooting knowledge in hydraulic systemsUse of diagnostic equipmentAcetylene and electric arc weldingAbility to lift up to 60 poundsWork extended hours outdoors in various weather conditionsEffective verbal and written communicationOccasional overtime may be necessary during peak timesWilling to work varying shifts, weekends and holidaysWilling to travelCDL driver's license, or willingness to obtain one, and a clean driving recordWhy IX?
