About The Position

Job Title : Travel RN

Shift : 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Active Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

• Telemetry experience
• Ability to self-study telemetry strips
• Basic dysrhythmia knowledge

Description :

The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.

A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment.

Passing this test is required to work on the telemetry / med surg unit.

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

Works in coordination with other health team members.

Maintains high standards of professional nursing.

Provides high-quality care to patient populations including geriatric, medical / surgical, adult, and telemetry.

Floating to non-critical care inpatient units is required, including to the emergency department if there are boarded patients.

Critical care experience may allow for occasional floating to the critical care unit.

Every other weekend rotation is required.

Familiarity with Cerner EMR is necessary.

Telemetry ratios are currently 1 : 4 on days and 1 : 5 on nights.

Medical / Surgical ratios are currently 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights.
