Seasonal - Carpenter Lead; San Antonio

Position SummaryThe Carpenter Lead holds a vital role with the Social House Holiday team at Toyota Field in San Antonio this holiday season. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Carpenter Lead will be responsible for the installation of all elements that include the use of wood as a main structure. Carpenter Leads must be able to interpret design drawings, communicate install methodologies, and lead multiple teams while managing a tight schedule. Working in conjunction with other team leads, collaboration and coordination is critical to ensuring the success of our event. Key Responsibilities     Oversee all assets designed with wood as the core structure are properly and safely installed     Review drawings and install procedures prior to directing teams     Manage the Carpenter team ensuring safety and proactivity      Provide progress updates daily to the Construction Manager     Manage a tight schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards     Coordinate Carpentry team in building other assets once the carpentry scope is complete, per Construction Managers direction     Manage onsite adjustments and repairs as needed during installation and run of show Qualifications     Experience in Event / Entertainment industry     Experience in managing on site teams     Heavy experience with power and manual tools, overseeing their safe use and maintenance     Proficiency in fabrication & assembly methodologies in woodworking      Strong communication skills and adaptability     Ability to work well with others in teams and lead teams as directed by Construction Lead      Strong understanding of fabrication tools and hardware     Adaptable with the willingness to pivot as neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :      Our venues span over 100,000 square feet     Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations     Frequently operates machinery and / or power tools, overseeing their safe use and maintenance       Social House Holiday is an outdoor event, and subject to local winter weather. Must dress accordingly and be prepared CERTIFICATIONS      OSHA 10 certification (desired)     Bilingual / Spanish & English (desired)
