• Duties may include but are not limited to :
• Provide clinical urology services including evaluating and treating patients in a Urological outpatient daily.
• Providing consults to patients, coordinating referrals when necessary, cystoscopies, surgeries, and other related urology procedures and basic urological care.
• Make patient rounds for Urological patients
• Perform cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer.
• Be present and on time for any scheduled clinics / surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
• Period of Performance :
• 6-month base 12 / 1 / 2025-5 / 31 / 2026 w / four 6-month renewal options available.
• Schedule :
• Full-time, 8A-4 : 30P Mon-Fri, call required 10 days per month, two days over a weekend.
• Qualifications :
• Education
• . Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Licensure and certification
• . Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BC / BE by the American Board of Urology (ABU). BLS, ACLS, or equivalent and DEA required.
• Experience
• . Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements.
• English Language Proficiency :
• In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Subject to background / security investigation.
• All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination.
• Complete an online onboarding process.
• May be required to complete a probationary period.
• Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12 / 31 / 1959.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.
