Business Analyst - Data & Analytics

We are seeking an experienced

• Business Analyst
• to lead requirement gathering and process documentation for a critical analytics and software initiative. This role will focus on supporting Independent Power Producers (IPPs) through a Databricks-centric solution for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

calculations and enhancing systems related to Invoice Management. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in data and analytics projects, with hands-on familiarity in

• Databricks
• environments.
• Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development and data engineering teams.
• Ensure solution alignment with Azure and Databricks architecture.
• Create and manage backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support change management and training efforts for new analytics solutions.
• Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development or data / analytics projects (application development experience preferred).
• Hands-on knowledge of data platforms, especially
• Azure
• and / or
• Databricks
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, BI / reporting tools, and analytics workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as
• Azure DevOps
• or
• ServiceNow

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 / hr.
