Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time itinerant Teacher for the Visually Impaired opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Marana, Arizona. This contract position involves working with K-12 students across multiple district sites to provide specialized instruction tailored to their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. The role focuses heavily on supporting evaluations and assisting with IEP writing, particularly for students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct in-person evaluations, including Functional Vision assessments and initial evaluations.
  • Deliver direct instruction aligned with students IEP goals and assistive technology needs.
  • Travel between several schools within district boundaries to support students on-site, requiring reliable transportation.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary school teams to support student progress.
  • Schedule and lead IEP meetings, plete all documentation related to assessments, evaluations, and program monitoring.
  • Monitor and report on student IEP goal progress throughout the school year.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching certification for Visually Impaired education.
  • Experience conducting Functional Vision assessments and evaluations.
  • Strong ability to write and manage IEPs.
  • Skilled in working with K-12 students with visual impairments.
  • Excellent munication and organizational skills.
