The Material Inspector will support the Project Quality team by overseeing material inspection control, documentation, and coordination for a new fabrication facility. This role ensures that all materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct inspections on delivered and installed materials per approved submittals and specifications.
- Review and verify Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance (CoC), and Mill Test Certificates (MTC).
- Coordinate material sampling and testing with third-party agencies.
- Prepare and submit Material Inspection Reports (MIRs) for review and approval.
- Maintain inspection logs, including pass / fail records and corrective actions.
- Upload inspection data and documents into the Construction Project Management System (CPMS).
- Monitor on-site material storage, labeling, and handling practices.
- Support the issuance and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Collaborate with QA / QC teams, contractors, and client representatives.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or higher; associate degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.Fluent in English (verbal and written).Preferred Experience :
Background in semiconductor or high-tech industrial construction.Familiarity with QA / QC systems and reporting procedures.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field a plus.
