The Business Intelligence & Analytics team within Datavant Product is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented analyst to enhance our Corporate Cross-Functional Reporting capabilities. This role is crucial for developing a scalable reporting platform that provides consistent, transparent, and actionable insights across our finance, compliance, accounting, and personnel functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, define requirements, and develop analytical strategies that inform key decisions.
  • Perform exploratory and focused analyses using analytical methods to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Design and develop business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and tools that promote operational transparency and strategic insights.
  • Lead the design and upkeep of reusable data models and visualizations while ensuring accuracy, scalability, and high performance across reporting initiatives at Datavant.
  • Work with data engineering and BI teams to guarantee data quality, accessibility, and alignment between source systems and reporting layers.
  • Contribute to the automation of regular analytical workflows, decreasing manual reporting efforts and enhancing speed for business users.
  • Enhance team practices and analytical maturity by mentoring colleagues, documenting solutions, and championing process improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in data visualization, BI tools, and analytical methodologies to continually elevate the team's skillset.

What You Will Bring

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to create clear, impactful visualizations for various audiences using tools like Sigma, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Business Acumen & Communication
  • Capability to craft compelling data stories that influence strategy and decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a knack for simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven time management skills to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Mindset & Experience
  • Strong initiative with a problem-solving mindset, ownership of work, and comfort in navigating uncertainty.
  • Experience in fostering cross-functional collaboration, maintaining a customer-focused approach, and demonstrating a bias for action.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics or a similar field.
  • Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or high-growth scenarios, particularly in areas related to information release or data privacy compliance.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with dbt for developing and managing data models in a modern analytics stack.
  • A track record of implementing structure and operational rigor in BI teams in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, such as natural language processing or time series forecasting.

    Datavant’s total rewards strategy aims to support a high-growth, high-performance culture, rewarding employees for their contributions to transformative healthcare products and services.

    The estimated total cash compensation for this role ranges from $104,000 to $130,000 USD.

    Please note that many clients require post-offer health screenings and proof / completion of vaccinations for COVID-19, flu, Tdap, etc. Requests for exemptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.
