Manufacturing engineer

A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Hampton, VA area. This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on production optimization through time studies, BOM management, and router updates and will support the engineering team in refining manufacturing processes to improve accuracy and operational throughput.

responsibilities :

• Conducts comprehensive time studies on various manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency.
• Updates and maintains accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for production.
• Modifies and manages process routers to ensure streamlined manufacturing workflows.
• Supports general Manufacturing Engineering functions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilizes a technical mindset to solve production-related problems.
• Collaborates with the engineering team to document and improve factory floor operations.

Education : Requires a degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related STEM field.
