Looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) II who is passionate about people and community, service-driven, and highly motivated. This CSRII position works onsite at the Burien Community Center front desk and champions Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services (PaRCS) programs, while supporting organizational operations. Primary duties include answering questions about PaRCS programs, helping community members register for programs for all ages (youth to seniors), and booking and assisting with facility rentals. This is a part time, partial benefited position for 22 hours per week. The primary work schedule is Monday-Thursday 9 : 00am-3 : 00pm. Some Friday hours and additional hours within the week may be required based on business and coverage needs.

  • Initiative and the ability to analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions and follow up when needed.
  • Experience with office equipment.
  • Basic computer navigation skills and proficiency in computer applications (such as Microsoft Office or similar products).
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Is bilingual (English and Spanish, Vietnamese, Oromo, Amharic, and / or Somali preferred)

Physical Abilities

The position requires frequent sitting, continuous talking and hearing, and the ability to see and monitor facilities / programs. It also requires occasional standing, walking, feeling, talking, stooping, sitting, fingering, handling, repetitive motions of feet, hands, and wrists, and rare bending, crawling, kneeling, and climbing. The incumbent must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25 pounds.

Education and / or Experience

One year experience in a similar customer service position. Knowledge of registration software system preferred.
