Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific guidelines Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required Communicate professionally and courteously with staff, visitors, and other personnel to support a welcoming environment at the location Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk as directed by Allied Universal or client representatives Remain alert to potential security-related issues in the vicinity of the front desk and promptly report concerns to the appropriate personnel Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience Must be at least 21 years of age A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred A guard card or license is preferred Customer service experience is preferred Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only Flexible Scheduling : Choose from a variety of open shifts that align with your availability and lifestyle Career Growth : Clear path to full-time roles and ongoing advancement through paid training programs Smart Tools : Access exclusive technology for real-time shift visibility and claiming Full-Time Benefits : Health insurance, 401(k) plans, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees Employee Perks : Enjoy discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and more through our perks program
Security Officer - Government Front Desk Entry
As a Security Officer at a government location, you will be the first point of contact, providing a welcoming presence and assisting guests and staff with their needs. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related concerns, all while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
