Senior Project Manager / Team Lead Land Engineering

VHB's Charlotte, NC office is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Team Lead to join our site / civil land development team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of high-impact projects across private real estate, higher education, healthcare, parks and recreation, and local government sectors. We're looking for a leader who is design-oriented, technically driven, and passionate about mentoring engineers and delivering projects that bring clients back again and again.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop site / civil engineering plans and specifications for projects in institutional, healthcare, higher education, private real estate, parks and recreation, and local government sectors
• Deliver high-quality, technically sound projects that foster long-term client relationships
• Mentor and teach junior engineers, offering both technical direction and career development support
• Provide consistent quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC) throughout project lifecycles
• Manage small to large-scale projects from concept through construction
• Build, guide, and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary land development engineering team
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities and assist in proposal preparation
• Prepare and review land development design and permitting documents
• Maintain strong client relations and oversee project financial performance
• Attend and lead meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to discuss design and permitting issues
• Oversee design activities during the Construction Administration phase
