Patient Service Coordinator III
The Patient Service Coordinator III (PSCIII) will support front desk operations providing essential administrative and patient-facing services for a newly acquired Gastroenterology outpatient facility. Key responsibilities include :
Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Verifying patient demographics, insurance, and referral information
Collecting copays and outstanding balances
Ensuring all necessary forms and consents are completed
Scheduling follow-up appointments, lab work, and referrals at check-out
Communicating effectively with clinical staff to support patient flow
Maintaining accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Answering phones, responding to messages, and assisting with patient inquiries
Supporting front desk operations including scanning, faxing, and filing

Skills and Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in outpatient clinic setting required
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment
Familiarity with insurance verification and patient billing processes
Willingness to float between two locations (Hilton Head & Hardeeville) - Epic EMR experience highly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Experience with patient scheduling systems and referral management
