Job Summary

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will support day-to-day lab operations by performing cleaning, maintenance, sample handling, and decontamination tasks. Your role will contribute to compliance, safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced medical laboratory environment. This is an onsite role requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cleaning solutions; clean and dry labware; conduct cleanliness testing.

Maintain cleanliness of work areas including shelves, benches, and sinks.

Handle chemical transport and disposal according to safety protocols.

Assist with preparation of device master records and SOPs.

Maintain and organize laboratory stock, supplies, and reagents.

Label samples and store them as per SOP guidelines.

Operate basic lab equipment and support fill / bulk team staging activities.

Perform waste decontamination and ensure biohazard safety compliance.

Required Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

0–2 years of relevant experience in a lab or cleanroom setting.

Familiarity with QSR (Quality System Regulations) and ISO standards.

Experience with hazardous materials handling and bloodborne pathogens.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Exposure to medical device manufacturing or clinical environments.

Experience with laboratory documentation and SOP compliance.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety protocols

Knowledge of lab instruments and decontamination procedures

Time management and organizational skills

Basic math and record-keeping accuracy

Proficiency in basic computer operations

Preferred Skills

Bloodborne Pathogen Training

Knowledge of labeling and documentation SOPs

Awareness of cleanroom or GMP environments

Additional Skills

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Comfortable with exposure to chemicals, blood, and mechanical equipment

Compliance with PPE and safety footwear requirements
