Traveling Superintendent
This Alabama-based general contractor is seeking a Traveling Superintendent. The company has been in business for over 20 years and is a leader in mid-box and retail construction across the Southeast US. They are a mid-sized firm based in Birmingham, AL, and focus on pre-engineered metal structures, CMU buildings, and run all projects as the general contractor from inception to completion.
Job Description
Traveling Superintendent duties :
- Develop the project vision and create the project schedule
- Supervise the entire construction staff, ensuring project deadlines are met
- Ability to predict and overcome project challenges
- Maintain a strong relationship with project managers
- Lead weekly meetings to ensure the team is working together successfully and delivering quality work
- Maintain OSHA requirements
- Mentor less experienced construction professionals
- Track project documentation, tasks, issues, etc.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors
- Travel required

Traveling Superintendent qualifications :
5+ years as a Project SuperintendentGround up project experience is required | Ability to manage all 16 divisionsRetail / Big Box project experience preferred, any ground-up commercial experience will be consideredTechnical savvy individual - Procore experience is a huge plusStrong reputation for working well with subcontractorsAbility to create strong relationships with clientsWhat's on Offer
