Member Services Representative

The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Greeting members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handling all front desk related activities including :
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of questions.
• Checking members into the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Taking prospective members on tours.
• Facilitating needed updates to member's accounts.
• Responding to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevating to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Performing cleaning duties as required to maintain neatness and cleanliness of the club.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR / AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR / AED in the event of a medical emergency.
• Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.

Environment : Work is performed in an indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical : Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand, for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; occasionally to lift, carry, push, and / or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs); and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information. Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
