On-site Training and support are provided by the central office team in Pasadena, CA.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Aide to provide clerical, caretaking, and paraprofessional support to certificated staff in our educational programs. This position involves a high degree of positive contact with special education students, assisting with learning activities, and helping maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment. This role involves travel to school sites and providing support on proprietary company platforms such as VillageED and iTAAP.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with students to tutor and reinforce learning in small groups or one-on-one sessions.
  • Support instruction and prepare materials and help teachers implement lesson plans.
  • Maintain records and keep files organized.
  • Monitor students during activities like lunch, recess, and bus loading.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan activities and discuss student progress.
  • Follow all legal and policy requirements for student information.
  • Travel to school sites across California and occasionally to our Pasadena, CA, for corporate meetings.
  • Provide client support on VillageED and iTAAP platforms.
  • What You Bring

  • High school diploma
  • A minimum of one year (100 hours) of paid or volunteer work.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Possess a valid CA Speech Aide license, or be eligible and willing to obtain one through the Speech-Language Pathology Board.
