Manager Programs 2

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Programs 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite at Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You'll Get To Do :

The candidate will join the Sentinel Strategy and Planning team and will be responsible for managing and executing program efforts for the Sentinel Transition and Production Planning team, including coordination of production planning support from Sentinel Production Operations, Restructure, Global Supply Chain, Sentinel Segments, Cost and Affordability, and Logistics.

  • The individual will integrate, manage, and execute program activities within and across assigned efforts to optimize performance. Tasks will include support to the following areas :
  • Development and communication of status via executive-level briefings and presentations
  • Understanding and leading program execution of production planning vision and objectives
  • Program management for Sentinel production planning team, including meeting organization and coordination, action item tracking and follow-through
  • Business development, including strategy development and execution
  • Customer acquisition approach analysis and shaping
  • Sentinel supplier sourcing strategy and supplier production planning
  • Planning and strategy for US Government RFIs and response development
  • Program management for establishing and maintaining Sentinel production phase risks and opportunities, including initiatives for strengthening Defense Industrial Base
  • Management of Sentinel production planning strategic rhythm
  • Understanding and implementation of Sentinel program and capture processes & tools

  • This position's standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience; Master's degree and 6 years of experience with U.S. Government contracts and customers.
  • 1 year experience leading a project and / or driving performance against schedule.
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
  • Experience building strong customer relationships.
  • Experience with developing executive level briefings and communications.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have :

  • Technical and / or Leadership / Management-focused master's degree.
  • PMP certification
  • 12 years of industry experience in program management or business development
  • Experience leading and executing programs into the production phase
  • Experience with the Sentinel Weapons System
  • Primary Level Salary Range : $135,100.00 - $202,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
