Responsibilities Position is in an ICU setting at a hospital Night shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Requires 3-4 weekend shifts per month, specifically on Friday or Saturday nights Patient population includes neuro ICU with experience in post-craniotomies, post thoracic surgeries, fem-pop bypass, CEAs, and multisystem organ failure Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 Care involves airway and vent management, central lines, artlines, IV drips, vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias Isolation precautions may be required Uses computerized documentation Must provide care for critically ill neuro patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction Team responsibilities include airway, ventilator, sedation, and invasive line management Submission requires two professional references Night and weekend shifts are expected as part of the schedule Requirements Active KY or compact RN license Current NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required Minimum of 1.5 years of recent ICU experience required Strong neuro ICU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622276.
