Assessment Item Copy Editor (Contract)

This position requires a professional with exceptional editing abilities and a passion for delivering polished and precise content.

As a Copy editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of materials for test development programs and other projects.

Key Responsibilities Proofread, format, and copy edit a variety of assessment items with meticulous attention to detail.

Edit content specifically for test development programs, adhering to project guidelines.

Ensure consistency and accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and style, with a strong grasp of Chicago style.

Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and project teams to maintain high-quality standards.

Utilize strong computer skills to work efficiently with G Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software tools as needed.

Qualifications Exceptional writing, formatting, proofreading, and copy-editing abilities.

Demonstrated experience in editing and writing for test development programs.

Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.

Superior knowledge of Chicago style.

Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office applications.

A Bachelor of Arts in English, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

At least two years of professional copy editing experience.

Compensation Target compensation for this position is $20 - 25 per hour.

Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, contracted position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8 :
