About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred.

License : Registered Nurse license required.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS required. CPI or MAB / MOAB preferred.

Must-Have :

Experience with various patient types.

Ability to perform ESI assessments during triage.

Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Willingness to prioritize care and ask questions.

Description :

The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Department.

The department sees 150-180 patients daily, including neonates and geriatric patients.

Typically, patient acuity ranges from minor to critical conditions.

The facility provides care for trauma patients, stroke patients, and critically ill children.

Travelers are expected to assist with evidence collection for sexual assault patients.

Support on the unit includes charge nurses and ED technicians.

There is 24 / 7 physician coverage and additional support staff available.

Charting is done using a comprehensive electronic health record system.

Travelers may float to inpatient areas as needed, performing tasks within their scope of practice.

Variable shifts include mornings, afternoons, and nights, with flexibility based on departmental needs.

Approval for time off must be obtained from management.

Holiday shifts may be required based on staffing needs.
