Field Engineer

Job Summary

Provide support for the duties of the engineers and technicians within the Construction Services Division. Assist with engineering projects and perform laboratory testing and field observation of construction materials. The amount of oversight and supervision will depend on the task complexity, as determined by the engineer or technician.

Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.

Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.

Pay Transparency

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $27.02 - $33.80 per hour based on skill set and experience. Work Environment

This job primarily operates primarily in a field environment in outdoor conditions, on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions. This role also operates in an office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

The employee will occasionally push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds. The employee is required to frequently work outside. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
