A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - Tele Job Details : - Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM - Patient ratios may be 5-6 : 1 depending on floor assignment and patient acuity - Required to float to any floor of the facility to care for patients within skill set based on facility need and staffing - Weekend requirement : 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule - One year recent nursing experience preferred - Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN License required - Current BLS via AHA required - Current ACLS via AHA required - Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation - Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families - Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - New hires are precepted by designated trained staff with organizational entry competency validation required Facility : This healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital providing a wide range of medical services to the community.
