Job Title : Radiology Tech - Cath Lab Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Cath Lab Tech Duration : 12 months Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 8 hours (7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM) Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required License : Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing Certifications : ARRT required, ACLS, BLS required Must-Have : Candidates must possess accurate monitoring skills. Experience in ICD placement and cardiac stent placement is essential. Familiarity with diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology lab procedures is required. Candidates should have experience in interventional cardiac catheterization and be able to maintain a sterile field during procedures. Additional skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias, IABP placement / removal, and troubleshooting equipment malfunction. Description : This position requires candidates to work in commonly impacted areas for hurricanes. The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and storm occurrences may happen outside this period. Upon accepting the assignment, candidates may be assigned to an "Emergency Team." There may be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or to be part of the relief team. Details concerning pay during storm impacts will be communicated as needed. Acceptance of this contract includes compliance with responsibilities in the case of inclement weather. Candidates should not apply if they are uncomfortable with the hurricane season considerations. The role includes weekend on-call requirements, which consist of 10 days per month, including one weekend. Experience in the specified specialties is crucial, and previous charge experience is also advantageous. Candidates must have relevant patient ratio experience.
