Logan Property Management is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Property Accountant to join our growing corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing full-cycle accounting functions for multiple residential and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of accounting experience (preferably in property management or real estate), a strong understanding of monthly closing processes , and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. A CPA license or candidacy is a strong plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable activity for assigned properties.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with property and regional teams.
  • Partner closely with property managers, regional directors, and corporate leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation , providing required schedules and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 5–7 years of accounting experience , preferably within property management, real estate, or multi-entity environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and monthly closing processes.
  • CPA license or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or Yardi (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
