Gastroenterology Physician Assistant

An established gastroenterology practice in the Visalia, CA area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. Prior experience in gastroenterology or primary care is preferred, but the group is also open to training a motivated candidate.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians.
• Provide patient education regarding gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Perform procedures within the scope of practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Adhere to established clinical protocols and practice guidelines to uphold quality standards of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and training programs as needed.
